Screening & Diagnosis
A regular screening is recommended for women starting at the age of 40. Your primary care doctor will assess your medical history to determine the frequency of your screenings. Typically you should have a mammography every 1-2 years, but everyone is different based off their medical history.
Diagnostic Mammography
If you are experiencing breast symptoms, for example a new lump, breast pain or tenderness we will perform a diagnostic mammogram. This requires additional images over the area you are experiencing these symptoms. The type and number of images will vary based on your symptoms and the area of the breast.
