Preparing for your X-ray
Some exams need you to wear a gown or shorts. Do not wear clothing with zippers, buttons or other metals. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled doctor's appointment. The technologist will ask about your symptoms and your health history. Including if you had the same scan anywhere else. This gives the radiologist past information to compare to your new scan.
