Chemotherapy

The use of medications in the treatment of cancer is frequently referred to as chemotherapy. While frequently associated with undesirable side effects, there have been major advances in these chemotherapy drugs as well as the drugs used to treat the side effects of chemotherapy. Today most of the side effects can be eliminated or minimized.

While chemotherapy years ago used to require a short stay in the hospital, most chemotherapy drugs used today can be given right here in our office. We currently have six chairs in our office where chemotherapy is administered. Our well trained and friendly staff is available immediately to help meet your needs. We have cable TV, music, snacks, and a blanket warmer to make your experience here as comfortable as possible.

Our nurses are specially trained to give chemotherapy drugs. In addition, we are able to prepare most chemotherapy drugs right on site. We have a pharmacist available for immediate consultation if needed. By preparing the chemotherapy on-site, we have complete quality control over the process, to assure your safety and minimize waste.
